Alarm communication system

After the publication of my last article Listening Awareness, one of the comments I received was that although the article itself is superb, we should also remember that there is better communication than listening … It also involves the ability to interpret body language.

How true! So this time I would like to help us become aware and learn to communicate better by using the.So what is body language? It is an unconscious attempt to create a balance between emotion and appearances. It is the communication of the movement or placement on our bodies of our standing or sitting posture, facial expression and gait. Try watching a TV program with sound and we are usually able to interpret when a person is aggressive or caught or shot -. It’s body language

Of course, body language is not always a panacea, because it should be read in conjunction with what is said and may be affected by the practices of individual speaker.

this is not a language in itself, it is only a portion of the spectrum of communication. For example, if we have to stretch-room, we probably do not know if they are angry or happy or scared, because crying can represent many different emotions.

Here are some examples of body language and their possible interpretations:

Nail Biting = = insécuritéDrumming the finger nerves unsettled, impatientFrotter hand ‘expectations, plays the main impatientRepos reflection =, arms folded évaluationLes DésaccordYeux breast = sin = lowered, rubbing the eyes’ disbelief, douteFrotter the bridge = uncertain, the head of Palms rejetReposant = boredom, the désespoirChef entitled to one side ‘in interested in écouteMains feet hips’ aggressive autoritaireKicking when walking or sitting leaning forward boredom = = Interested

Now, remember to consider the habits of a people (if we know them).

For example, when I cross my arms over my chest, it’s usually because I’m cold or check with my head bowed. So that’s my point: the body language is not one-size-mail everyone in every situation

However, if we become more aware of our own body language and habits, it will help us. become more aware of others. By doing this we were able to better judge whether the person or persons we are talking to is paying attention, they care about we say, if we hit a nerve, or if they are not honest with us. This is a warning communication / alarm / warning system we have, if only we knew how to use it properly. How cool is that?

A conceptual framework for professional learning communities, how they influence the strategic planning in the education of Miller & Queinnise WM. Kritsonis, PhD

Queinnise Miller and William Allan Kritsonis, PhD

Introduction

unprecedented changes in schools all over the world. Schools are run increasingly as a company. be involved without effective strategic planning directors in crisis management (Van der Linde, 2001). Since schools of strategic planning, professional learning communities should be much need to move districts from childhood to maturity in the quality of teaching and overall educational success. With the possibilities of knowledge through the Realm of the Senses ( Kritsonis, 2003) as a guide for professional learning communities that the success of professional learning communities and their impact on the strengthened strategic planning.

Subject to Article

The aim of this paper is to explore professional learning communities, taking a look affect how they improve the school and its role in strategic planning in education . This article describes how funds of knowledge through the Realm of the Senses ( Kritsonis, 2003) in the heart will be implemented by professional learning communities. The six kingdoms into professional learning communities, leaders and teachers in a position to achieve the highest possible quality in academic performance.

Professional Learning Communities

Professional Learning Communities (PLC) in recent years, almost a house hold name among educators at all levels. In fact the term was used. ubiquitous that they are in danger of losing their meaning (Dufour, 2004) Every word of “professional learning community” is chosen deliberately

Dufour and Eaker state.

Most

all professional learning communities follow the same protocol. Within each community of teachers and leaders urged to pursue his personal and professional development, integrating it as part of their regular job responsibilities. For example, the Alief ISD PLC implementation time in the school week through the creation of a weekly day of transfer is given to students early and use that extra hour for meetings mandate for teachers to be their professional learning community. In professional learning communities, leading professional development by teachers included to discuss and share applications in the classroom differently.

Of these interactions, teachers improve their professional skills in a more informal approach to career development. True professional learning communities follow different protocols in order to evoke a dialogue between team members. In some contexts, professional development, teachers are encouraged to promote reading books and educational materials as a catalyst for reflection, study and exchange. Individual and team trial is more rules, guidelines, forms and procedures evaluated. More importantly, everyone is encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and development, a standard of school culture (Thompson, 2004) to be effective.

The concepts of professional communities, addiction may seem simple to implement, it is not always the case. Implementation of professional learning communities is a challenge. For starters, they need a deep cultural change within the school (Honawar, 2008).

How Professional Learning Communities Impact School Improvement

There are waterfalls of strategies, theories, neighborhood groups and many other ideas for improving student learning. Cooperation of teachers is considered one of the most effective ways to improve student learning (Honawar, 2008). This may be controversial, since most questions. According to Thomas Gregg and Niska (2004), many K-12 schools together, learning communities have become in the hope that students improved learning when adults talk together on the agreed teaching and learning take, then take steps to help students learning and improve performance. Other leaders in the field as Mike Schmoker (2004) estimate that “… the most promising strategy for sustainable improvement and school background, the capacity of the school staff as a professional learning community function” (p.. 424).

For the former CEO Richard Dufour (2004) in Educational Leadership attributed the record results and success in his school district near Chicago, goal-oriented team collaboration. Dufour believes that cooperative teams down. Every school improvement efforts Mike Schmoker said:

Such a simple effort to teach teachers to a different practice of teaching, leads to what must be one of the lists of the most prominent advantages in the educational literature are:

higher quality solutions to problems in education

More trust among the teachers, the ability to support each other’s strengths and weaknesses

more systematic support for beginning teachers welcome increased and the

The possibility of an expanded pool of ideas, methods and to examine materials (p. 430).

We believe that an unknown author said it best. “I can not be isolated to improve my craft from others” have

The role of professional learning communities in the strategic planning

For some people, the long-term strategic planning is reminiscent of a strict and thorough process that the values, mission and goals of a school system designed with a link set of coherent strategies and tasks to achieve these goals (Reeves, 2007). According to Weindling (1997) Strategic planning is a way to create and maintain a sense if the future is more and more difficult to predict “(as in Van der Linde, 2001 located, pg. 536).

Professional Learning Communities embodies this process and triangulation of planning, the definition and valuation of the results. Communication is the element that makes the strategic planning of such a success. By local slope of this element of communication is clear that the teachers begin to speak and to create communities, based on the specific needs of a campus, department or classroom.

version “Symbolics” in professional learning communities

The first realm of meaning is symbolic. “These meanings are arbitrary symbolic structures with socially accepted rules of formation and transformation contained, as tools for expression and communication of meaning whatsoever ( Kritsonis , founded in 2007, p. 11).

professional development achieved communication about communities like the spine in which the goal is. In professional learning communities, the first region appears with the “common language” is necessary in order to take place effective communication. In all professional learning communities, there is a question in everyday language and writing training used. Without the knowledge of the language and knowledge of its meaning, make the educators in these communities can not progress on their way to improve student achievement. “One person, one language knows, if he understands its meanings” (Kritsonis , 2003, p.109). Gamble (2008) posits that teachers have to learn the vocabulary and the concepts of a machine. you should talk the talk and walk in the preparation of teaching and teaching presentations. Teachers need to model the dynamic setting clear goals for students and frequently use formative assessment through graphic organizers whenever possible. The use of graphic organizers is the implementation of the symbols is to Kritsonis another of the outer surfaces the tongue. These icons are sounds spoken or written notes, giving the feeling informed ( Kritsonis, 2007).

The field of symbolic expression, that different languages ??reflect in many ways the experiences organization. This is done in professional learning communities through the collaboration of teachers as they share experiences

> The implementation of the “empirical” in professional learning communities

Empirical second area involves the science of the physical world of living things, and people. These studies provide factual descriptions, generalizations, and theoretical formulations and statements on observation and experiment in the world of matter, life, spirit based, and society. ( Kritsonis, 2007, p. 12)

As an educator, collects and analyzes data from students better, they work in the empirical domain.

The educators involved in learning communities is essentially a scientist for what works and what does not work in the educational setting. by the researchers on their scientific investigation aims to bring some order and clarity that seems to bring a richness and variety of unrelated phenomena ( Kritsonis , 2007). Gamble (2004) suggest that schools should “move” a professional library in search of the great development in the field (c east-to-Dufour, Hord, Martin-Kniep, Sergiovanni and others) were purchased. materials from these authors and they gain in circulation.

As a teacher data, it is important to remember for them that the principles, generalizations and laws do not test directly from observational data and observations is not the truth or falsity of the assumptions, but derives its possibilities and limitations. Being aware identified by those restrictions by observation, to develop teachers capable of future interventions for students affected by these restrictions.

The implementation of the “aesthetic” in Professional Learning Communities  ( Kritsonis, 2007, p. 12). aesthetic examines not only the knowledge of mathematical and empirical way, but explores the understanding that can be used for art and other areas of non-empirical. Often students can not be calculated scientifically. Kritsonis continue

There are beauties in the learning of all students, not all students, both empirical and nonempirical can occur are included. is every student as a fragile work of art. Each work contains its own direction and speaks for itself. (2007, p. 279)

For the understanding of the students and all varieties in each student professional learning communities can have a more holistic and dialogue about what different pieces of beautiful artwork.

It is systematic for educators take into account the differences between important and beauty that every process of the students. professional learning communities provide a good basis for being able to share their experiences and assess students from different paradigms.

The fourth kingdom synnoetics. Synnoetics refers to meanings in which a person has a direct insight into other people (or yourself) than sets of existing concrete in relation ( Kritsonis, 2007). Participation is essential for effective professional learning community. It is the commitment of team members in the professional learning community and the commitment between the teacher and the students behind the joint effort which in turn fosters student achievement. Kritsonis (2007) argues that synnoetics meaning requires a commitment, and there are not such thing as absolute solitary existence. The concept of isolation has meaning only in a context in which it is separated from the others ( Kritsonis, 2007). You will learn how to ensure the “quality” differ but the vote Most people know that teachers, such as quality, design and deliver effective learning experiences, despite the constant changes in the population of students need. You will be notified and they must know how to use their knowledge. The CPD should simply part of their work (Wood, 2007). teachers are responsible not only educate students academically, but also help them to gain self-knowledge and lead them in, how to use two of their knowledge and self-knowledge. One goal professional learning communities is to help teachers also acquire knowledge about teaching methods and personal knowledge of who they are and their role as educators in a school. Although professional development major avenues for this task, which can most of the time small professional learning communities be more effective. Kritsonis (2007) postulates that personal knowledge is not always well-developed formal education.

The implementation of the “ethics” in the professional learning communities

Ethics, according to Dr. William Allan Kritsonis , is one who “understands that express moral obligation, rather than actually in the form of perception, consciousness or the relationship” (Kritsonis, 2007, pg. 13) . The moral, according Kritsonis, is simply that “this reflects the inter-subjective understanding. The moral has to deal with personal conduct, based on free and responsible, conscious decision “(Kritsonis, 2007, p. 13) do. As should be the ethics and morality of the common language educators and the case of all. Every days parents trust us to life and the future of their children. Every act or decision for our students to the smallest of them as subjects for variables such as choice of assessment should be the moral and ethical. Gamble (2008) suggest that a teaching leader in the school by entering into theory and practice, one of the “best practice” models as a community “Professional Learning.

After Kritsonis, ethical considerations in all areas of daily life. Therefore, training is not and can not escape the responsibility of ethics or legal actions against the student. Through the formation of professional learning communities, teachers should ensure that they keep each other the responsibility for ethical conduct of students. Improving the behavior depends on the habit, so that any decision formatting awareness a number of different options that can be taken, including a selection ( Kritsonis, 2007). This is the essence of what needs to do a professional learning community.

> The implementation of the “synoptic” in professional learning communities

Synoptic refers to “meanings that global integration” (K Ritschel , 2007 , p. 13). Synoptic covers the areas of History, Philosophy and Religion “( Kritsonis, 2007, p. 13). to implement professional learning communities, this area of ??the senses with its integration capabilities result in the teaching and learning as educators.

In professional learning communities, teachers need also to the history of what succeeded in student achievement for all students. A look at the past, are better teachers on their way to the front diagram. Looking to the past, professional learning communities are often tempted by the vision of the school to bring to realization. At least authentic, refers to an ideal and a hope for the maximum completeness, depth and integrity of the vision ( Kritsonis, 2008).

The reference chart addresses the full spectrum of everything that is mentioned in the express teaching experience. Fidelity should be given to a data-based program to clear objectives and concrete, and a state of mind of the target depth for effective planning and collaboration. The focus should shift to students and teachers in real time to lifelong learners (Gamble, 2007).

Conclusion

is the end of the strategic planning for school leaders, realize gains in student achievement imperative. Doug Reeves (2007) states:

School leaders need the meaning of the strategy through the development of plans that are short and focused and that provide continuous monitoring and evaluation to identify. More importantly, teachers and leaders, the implementation of strategic plans should begin the process with confidence that their business practices are really affecting the performance of students. (P. 87)

this process and thanks to the quality of professional learning communities can begin where teachers and leaders of effective dialogue and action-oriented learning outcomes and what works, will be enhanced and what not to work in classrooms around the nation . The further implementation of the kinds of knowledge through the realm of the senses by Dr. William Allan Kritsonis to produce more consistent results when it comes to overall performance of students.
